Guest posting

So, part five of the #30dayblog challenge is to write a guest post. The concept of pitching a guest post to some of my favourite blogs is…well, scary as hell. It’s the whole rejection thing. But having the excuse of the challenge means I actually have to do it.

I wrote a piece for BusinessOnTwitter about compers on Twitter, and the pros and cons for businesses. But I occasionally write for BusinessOnTwitter anyway, so this didn’t really feel like I was properly throwing myself into the challenge.

Thankfully, a guest post opportunity popped up in one of the comments of one of my recent blog posts. I’m also hoping to pitch to a business blog I’ve been following for a little while now.

But I’d love to hear about your experiences of guest posting. Has it benefited you? Do you have any tips for pitching? Let me know in the comments below!

This post is the fifth in a series of 30 for the 30 Day Blogging Challenge. See other 30 Day Blogging Challenge posts here.

    Hi,

I have just read the 30daychallenge and to be honest I was quite disappointed in it.  Although I could understand how it would benefit a beginner blogger I kind of felt like it wasn’t anything I already didn’t know.

How did you find it overall my latest blog post however is about what I thought of it not that I have completed it I just looked at it objectively.

Here is the link to the direct post just in case new content goes up before you get chance to read this: http://www.weirdnewsreel.com/2011/12/30-day-blogging-challenge.html
